Snow tipped trees.

I saw a tree by the sky
touched with winter's blush
standing straight and tall
the cold crippled autumn's flush

Its wings were tipped with winter's coat
a bright white mantle of shimmering snow
upon its branches, bare and dead
twigs in the wind, waiting to blow

Glimmering, glowing, gossamer in the wind
if petals it had, the breeze would lift
tongues of frost falling fast
dropping slowly into a deep snowdrift.

  1. Gorgeous photo; I love the vivid blue contrasting against the white/black trees. And the poem is beautiful too, the last stanza is pure wonderful poetry.
